Great artwork! What I get from your design is that we all are unique and different. The make up of an individual does not consist of just one thing. A person's gender, sexual orientation, religion, and/or race tells the story of who they are.

Establishing Professional Contacts and Expanding Resources  My initial request has not produced any response as of yet. I am hopeful that I will hear something in the coming week. If not, I will pursue the alternative assignment.  I requested correspondence form an early childhood professor in South Africa at the University of Limpopo, and I also emailed an organization in Mali for information on their early childhood issues and trends. I am eager to compare the differences in approaches as well as the areas that are similar. Since I am familiar with several of the organizations listed in the resource section I wanted to find one that I wanted to learn more about. I chose to explore is the Global Fund for Children (GFC). Childhood Immunization at Record High Childhood immunizations have risen over the past decade but there are 24 million children still immunized. UNICEF, the World Bank, and the World Health Organization   report that one in five children are not receiving routine immunizations against preventable diseases like measles, tetanus, and diphtheria. Recent declines in child death rates are a direct results of higher immunization rates. Worldwide measles deaths declined by 74 percent between 2000 and 2007 due to higher immunization. This improvement will not continue without continued attempts to vaccinate children around the world. Immunization is an issue that we face here in the U.S. and globally.
