I hope this works.  This is my first post.  I'm beginning to learn to use technology.  I think this might be useful  for educators because kids are so tech-savy these days.

Establishing Professional Contacts and Expanding Resources  My initial request has not produced any response as of yet. I am hopeful that I will hear something in the coming week. If not, I will pursue the alternative assignment.  I requested correspondence form an early childhood professor in South Africa at the University of Limpopo, and I also emailed an organization in Mali for information on their early childhood issues and trends. According to Gilliam (2003) ongoing, job-embedded professional development is essential in guiding early childhood educators in understanding and adapting the curriculum to meet the learning needs of culturally and linguistically diverse children and children with disabilities, and design more effective approaches to working with all children.
