NAEYC Ethical Responsibilities to Children
 I-1.2- To base program practices upon current knowledge and research in the field of early childhood education, child development, and related disciplines, as well as on particular knowledge of each child.
Improving the lives of children is my primary goal as an early childhood educator. Ensuring the child’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development in an environment that reflects the child’s culture and language require the program to base curriculum on the use of best practices.
NAEYC Ethical Responsibilities to Families
I-2-7- To share information about each child’s education and development with families and to help them understand and appreciate the current knowledge base of the early childhood profession.
Helping families understand the practices we use in educating their child is an important aspect of the school to home connection. Often time parents are confused about play as a learning base. The use of assessments documenting the child’s progress provides concrete evidence of learning in all developmental domains.
I-3C.4 – To encourage and support continual development of employees in becoming more skilled and knowledgeable practitioners.
In my role as a director, trainer or consultant, I believe it is imperative that those who work with young children strive to improve their skills. The early childhood education field changes with the findings of new and improved practices for children’s optimal development and learning. Keeping abreast of the new trends is vital to beaming an excellent teacher.

Hello, Helping families to understand what is going on is good and what we all strive to do. A lot of times parents are afraid to ask questions and it's important that we make sure that they understand everything that is going on at all times. I know this is part of our responsibility as a professional.

Hi,
It is very important for parents to be actively invovled in thier child's education process.Parental involvment should always be strongly enforced. In order for parents to become and stay effective is for us to all work together keeping them informed and updated with new information and changes to the field.

Establishing Professional Contacts and Expanding Resources  My initial request has not produced any response as of yet. I am hopeful that I will hear something in the coming week.
